HP and KBA join forces in an inkjet press for packaging

One of the first fruits of the cooperation between (offset) press manufacturer KBA and print giant HP: de HP T1000 Simplex Colour inkjet rotation press. The press is meant for printing corrugated paperboard packaging. The difference between traditional (offset) presses an this inkjet press is the possibility for variable (pre)printing. In principle all boxes can have a different print. The inkjet packaging press has a speed of 183 meters a minute and 30,000m2 an hour. According to HP and KBA this is a breakthrough in printing of smaller and mid sized orders.
