IBM invests $3 billion in silocon germanium computer chip giving new life to Moore´s Law
IBM, together with various partners, will produce a seven-nanometer transistor. A DNA strand is 2,5 nanometer which makes you realise how small the transistors on this new chip are. Users will get a stronger and more compact computer device which will also be more energy efficient. This development brings new life to Moore´s Law which says that the number of transistors on chips doubles every two years.
