Augmented reality on the cover of the Boekenweekgeschenk 2016

The Dutch Boekenweekgeschenk (gift with purchase during national book week in the Netherlands) Broer (brother) written by Esther Gerritsen is now available. An augmented reality video has been hidden in the cover of the book. The video can be seen by using a smartphone or tablet.

To look at it you will have to download the Xpose Visual Search app. After opening the app the cover needs to be scanned and the video can be seen with a voiceover of Esther Gerritsen herself. The instructions are included on the cover.

Esther Gerritsen (1972) made her debut in 2000 with a bundle of prose Bevoorrecht bewustzijn (privileged consciousness). She also writes columns for VPRO. The gift with purchase is available between 12 and 20 March with a purchase of at least 12.50 Euro of books. National book week is a successful initiative to encourage the reading of books.
