Apple changes its mind about template based apps
App developers who make use of the so-called “app template generators” were in for a surprise mid December when Apple took the unilateral decision to no longer allow these type of apps in its AppStore. No reasons were given for this decision. Only after a member of the American congress sent a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook, was this changed. AppMachine from Friesland, the Netherlands, is a develop of such an “app template generator” and is happy with the change. Apple did immediately see the business side of it. They now require that the owner registers the app. Which means that an app builder/developer cannot submit apps under their own account. Apple will immediately refuse these.
