New generation does not read printed newspaper
Circulation of newspapers has been steadily decreasing for a number of years now, but newspapers remain important. This will be different when we look at the future. The newer generations hardly look at printed newspapers. This is the result of research held last year by MediaTest among Generation Z (born 1996-2010) and Millennials (born 1985-1995). Only 1-2% of them read a paper newspaper. And although they do appreciate advertisments in the street and in magazines, they are quite negative about printed adverts. The younger the more negative apparently.
