For 19.90US$ you get a flowchart which through simple criteria such as ´should it look modern´ or ´should it look quirky´ leads you to a choice of 43 fonts. Voor 19,90 dollar krijg je een flowchart die je met behulp van criteria zoals ‘wil je een modern design’ of ‘wil je opvallen’ laat kiezen uit 43 verschillende lettertypen. Google is just like many users dissatisfied with the slowness with which service providers improve the speed of internet access and the clever ways they have found to make money off of this. Google hopes to end this with Project Fi. Project Fi makes effective use of WiFi hotspots and charges only for the data you really use, this in contrast to the providers. Providers charge a monthly fee and tough luck if you didn´t use the maximum data. If you go over the limit you get a hefty extra bill. Fi makes use of free WiFi hotspots where possible and changes over automatically. Met Project Fi hoopt Google daar een eind aan te maken. Project Fi maakt effectief gebruik van WiFi hotspots en laat je alleen betalen voor de data die je echt gebruikt, dat in tegenstelling tot wat providers doen. Die laten je per maand een bedrag betalen en als je de hoeveelheid maximale data van je contract niet gebruikt heb je pech gehad, ga je over je limiet dan krijg je een gepeperde rekening. Microsoft is not the first to research the possibility of hand tracking for electronic devices, but it has developed a very potent technology with Handpose. Handpose follows every movement of your hands via a camera and translates this to screen movements. Movements can be combined with already existing images, you can pick up tools or manage equipment. We are curious to see if Benny Landa or other innovative companies will use the interface during the Drupa 2016. Watch the Handpose video via this link.

Microsoft is niet de eerste die de mogelijkheid van handbesturing voor elektronische devices onderzoekt, maar het heeft met Handpose wel een techniek met potentie ontwikkeld. Handpose volgt met een camera elke beweging van je hand en vertaalt die naar bewegingen op een beeldscherm. De bewegingen kunnen gecombineerd worden met bestaande beelden, zo kun je een gereedschap oppakken of apparatuur opdrachten geven. We have seen waterproof coating creatively used to make adverts visible during rain. In Germany the same coating is being used to prevent urinating. The coating splashes the urine back, hence the title We Pee Back.

Between 2015 and 2019 mobile printing will grow with an estimated 32.5% yearly, according to researcher Market Research Store. This because more mobile workers want to print from their smart phones, tablets or notebooks. This gives resellers the opportunity to offer cost effective, safe and standardized mobile printing solutions.
Large organisations more often need mobile printing solutions because of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies. Mobile working is being stimulated, which means the employee needs to be able to print outside the office. Nearly all big printing suppliers increasingly offer a mobile printing solutions. Mobile device and app suppliers also offer various mobile printing software. According to researcher Gartner the solutions need to be standardized, very secure and cost effective.

Lobbying for an industry or organization has really taken off. Google spent as much as 5.5 million dollars in the first quarter of this year to win over the American government. In sharp contrast to the money spent by publishers and the printing industry in the USA. In 2014 printers spent ´only´ 31,850 dollars on lobbying. Maplight gave us these numbers.
