Customization and inspiration at C!Print Madrid

Brands are increasingly aware of the fact that customisation plays an essential role in the relationship with clients. It allows you to contextualize the message, gain customer loyalty, carry out world-wide event planning campaigns, turn products into collectible items, maintain regular contact with clients, develop competitions, tutorials…

Thanks to customising campaigns through digital printing, brands are getting to know their customers better and better and the consumer becomes proactive, which multiplies the campaigns’ impact. As soon as the message is personalised, customers take ownership of the products, of the selling spaces and of the brand’s identity. They integrate it into their daily lives, they develop a relationship with the history which drives the brand.
They themselves create a buzz, by word of mouth, sharing it with their own network of friends and professional contacts.

Which will be the mise-en-scene at this year’s Plug&Play applications and demonstration spaces?

According to Aurélie Lamandé, Marketing Director at C!Print Madrid: “This year, on each of the pavilion’s three floors, visitors will find something to be inspired by and for the evaluation of potential new markets: interior design,
She adds: “In the mezzanine, we will recreate two pop-up areas: on one side, a bookshop and on the other, a space-décor “Café”. The printing techniques’ full potential will be carried out by The Image Company in this personalised space with the support of material manufacturers.”

You will only be able to check out the final result of these projects during C!Print, from 26th till 28th September at the Pabellón de Cristal in Casa de Campo.

Unmissable content to boost your business
To complete the tour, don’t miss out on the theoretical and practical content, which will take place in the spaces dedicated to conferences and workshops as well as at the Image Lab, where successful cases, image processing workshops, web-to-print, etc., will be exhibited. In addition, a series of guided tours will allow you to follow closely the processes of space, message and product customisation. Find out about the whole programme on the trade fair’s website.
This year C!Print wishes to cater once again to the entire community, using individualised accompaniment with CUSTOMISATION as its main theme, all innovation and solutions can be found in one unique place. C!Print will give you access to more than 250 exhibitors on 26th, 27th and 28th September 2017 at the Glass Pavilion in Casa de Campo Park.

Duitse drukkers werven leerlingen met hippe tattoo campagne

12 sep 2017
Categorie: ,

Germany also has a shortage of graphic arts professionals, now and definitely in the future. Bundesverband Druck und Medien (Association of print and media) has started a campaign to recruit young people. It targets, judging by the campaign materials, the young, hip and tattooed generation, with a male and female role model of course. Core mottos are “Gestochen scharf” and “Perfekt veredelt” which focus on the love of colour and detail of the younger generation. The campaign allows graphic arts companies to download the posters and use with their own branding. General posters will appear in metro stations and other areas where the target audience gathers.

Ricoh expands print diversity with neon pink toner

Ricoh has launched Neon Pink toner to enhance the creative possibilities for a wide range of print from posters and invitations to ticketing and advertising. These and other eye-catching capabilities will be on show at PRINT 17, Chicago, September 10-14 followed by Labelexpo, Brussels, September 25 – 28.

The Neon Pink toner has been developed for the fifth colour station on the Ricoh Pro™ C7100X series colour cut sheet digital production press. It allows print service providers to produce eye-catching results that inspire highly engaging and effective campaigns.

It expands the colour gamut, enhances images and can be used as a solid or highlight or graphic colour. When combined with other process shades, it can create a neon palette. The toner is reflective under UV light to extend the range of printing possibilities offered by standard CMYK, white, or clear printing.

The new addition supports a ‘dramatic market expansion’ of special effect enhancement capabilities for magazine, direct mail, retail and point of purchase markets as highlighted by the InfoTrends report Beyond CMYK: The Use of Special Effects in Digital Printing.

It states nearly 1.8 trillion colour pages in the U.S. and Western Europe, or around 30% of the total colour pages, currently receive some type of special effects enhancement. It also says, ‘there is a tremendous opportunity for digitally produced special effect enhancements to grow’.

“The Neon Pink Toner joins the highly successful Neon Yellow toner which has already helped creative print service providers develop impactful and vibrant print,” says Eef de Ridder, Director, Commercial Printing, Commercial and Industrial Printing, Ricoh Europe.

“Increasingly print service providers want the ability to offer quick, easy and cost effective high quality personalised print that stands out stand. This latest addition will open up numerous exciting opportunities.”

The Neon Pink toner will be available from November. It is retrofittable, which means existing clients can expand the capabilities of the Ricoh Pro C7100X presses they operate today.

InPrint USA to Host Inaugural Industrial Inkjet Conference 2018

07 sep 2017
Categorie:

InPrint USA, the Industrial Print Show, will host the first Industrial Inkjet Conference May 1-2, 2018 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. The conference will showcase how inkjet technologies are transforming the manufacturing sector and will educate attendees on the opportunities and challenges in inkjet printing for industrial applications.

The inaugural InPrint USA exhibition, held last April in Orlando, connected manufacturers who use print as a key component of the manufacturing process with leading brands in the fields of industrial specialty, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D technology print solutions.

“We were very pleased with the positive feedback we received from both InPrint exhibitors and attendees” said Melissa Magestro, Executive Vice President of Mack Brooks Exhibitions Inc., the show organizer. “The show confirmed that there is a community of innovators looking for information on how to tap into new markets now open to them through digital inkjet technology.  InPrint USA is the home for this community.”

The focus of this new Industrial Inkjet Conference will be on highlighting trends, challenges, opportunities, case studies and the latest technical advancements in industrial inkjet technology across functional, decorative and package printing applications. Attendees will learn and network with industry thought leaders and technical experts.

Specifically, attendees will learn
Which manufacturing markets are seeing returns on their investment in digital inkjet solutions and how other industries could adopt the same results;
The trends shaping the increased demand for inkjet printing like personalization, mass customization, variable data and on-demand production as well as the challenges and opportunities of taking advantage of these trends; and
How to implement digital inkjet printing processes as both a replacement and complementary technology to analog printing processes.

“The educational sessions we offered in Orlando were heavily attended and praised by attendees,” Magestro added. “With the rapid rate at which technologies, products, and services are evolving for the industrial print sector, we needed to give this audience the opportunity to connect and learn from one another before the next InPrint USA show in April 2019 in Louisville, KY. We are confident that this educational and community building conference will meet the needs of those in the industry.”

Limited sponsorship opportunities for the conference are available now. Sponsors will have the unique ability to engage with industrial print specialists, production managers, R&D Department heads, technical directors and designers from the manufacturing industry, from industrial print companies and from traditional print companies.

Here is who should attend
Manufacturing production professionals who are looking for ways to improve production capacity, flexibility and output within their plants.
Industrial print production companies that produce decorative or functional print solutions for integration into a larger manufacturing process.
OEMs, integrators, component manufacturers and developers searching for partners and technologies to integrate and create new solutions for industrial print production.
Traditional print companies looking to adopt new technologies and techniques to generate new revenue streams.

Registration will open in late Fall 2017. Those interested can sign up on the website now to be notified when registration opens.

Eagle Systems Europe Names Thomas Andersen Technical Director

07 sep 2017
Categorie:

Eagle Systems, Inc., a U.S. based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment, today announced the appointment of Thomas S. Andersen as Technical Director of Eagle Europe. Effective immediately, Thomas, a 25+ year veteran of the graphic communications industry, will head up the sales and marketing efforts for Eagle in the United Kingdom via his company, AeTee Group Limited.

“The European printing community is increasingly seeking out that technological differentiator that will not only inspire greater awareness and reach, but also give them a decisive service edge in very competitive markets. We believe that innovation is hot and cold foil printing,” notes Thomas. “Eagle is both the leading supplier and global advocate of foil applications and print enhancement on a global scale. Accordingly, they have already established their good name throughout the region.

“So, as their client base grows, it was a natural choice to help them open new doors and offer a more local support center to their already burgeoning customer base. We aim to capture the European market in the same way Eagle now dominates in Americas, and many other parts of the world… by partnering with our customers, not just supplying equipment.”

A Background of Industry Success
Danish born Thomas Andersen began his career as a trainee at EACgraphics, after investing two years serving the Danish Airforce. At that point, EACgraphics, was one of the largest distributors of graphics equipment in the world with subsidiaries in eastern USA, Asia, parts of Africa, as well as Scandinavia. Andersen joined the Copenhagen division as a sales representative marketing, amongst many other products, Heidelberg, Polar, Stahl, and Muller-Martini solutions.

In 1994 Andersen moved to Bombay to work for EACgraphics India, first in a sales role, subsequently as North India Regional Sales Manager based in Delhi, and finally to set-up a new after-sales team based in Chennai. In 1998 when Heidelberg bought EACgraphics, Andersen relocated to the Philippines as AGM responsible for prepress and consumables sales.

In 2000, Andersen was offered the opportunity to move to the UK as International Sales Manager for Brandtjen & Kluge, Inc., a US based manufacturer of Print Finishing Equipment. Andersen was already familiar with selling Kluge equipment from his time in India. Since 2000, Kluge’s international sales have evolved into what is now an independent company, AeTee Limited, headed by Andersen, and now representing other finishing equipment alongside the Kluge range of products. AeTee currently represents Straub Design Tape Systems and Tape Applicators, Insignia Rotary Die Cutters as well as, of course now, Cold Foil Systems from Eagle.
