Companies send digital, but consumers want print
More and more companies choose to digitally communicate with their customers rather than with paper. But the consumers themselves would prefer to receive paper communication. From a cost perspective companies prefer to send invoices and statements in digital form rather than physical mail. But eight out of ten consumers would prefer to still have the option to receive paper documents (instead of or in combination with digital). And 88% of older Americans want to continue to receive statements and invoices via mail. More than 75% of consumers thinks they should not have to pay extra for printed mail.
The most important advantage of print over digital is readability. Four out of five (80%) people find paper easier to read than the screen. Which is the reason why they prefer paper over digital. This from a fact sheet from Two Sides
