Drupa report: data to be core business
The second Drupa Global Insights Report has been published with interesting figures concerning the graphics industry. To name a few: worldwide the need for printing is decreasing, only partly because of the economic crisis, mostly because of the speedy growth of digital communication. In the past year 42% of the world population had access to the internet, over half (51%) has a mobile phone and 29% is actively using social media. Printed adverts have decreased by 6% yearly over the past 5 years. The consumer spends 1.5% less on printing every year.
