Dutch printers Tielen, Wilco and bindery Hexspoor, Patis awarded for the most beautiful books in the world

During the annual contest “Schönste Bücher aus aller Welt” in Leipzig Dutch companies were awarded gold and silver medals.

The Golden Letter was awarded to the Netherlands for Ornithology by Anne Greene and Arjan de Nooy (design: Jeremy Jansen, production: Tielen and Hexspoor, publisher: De Hef). The jury waxed lyrical about the design, content and finishing of the book.

But there is more. A Silver Medal was awarded to (un)expected by Peter Dekens (design: Rob van Hoesel, production: Sebastiaan Hanekroot, Wilco Art Books, Patist, publisher: The Eriskay Connection). A Bronze Medal goes to Dwars Vers by Emily Dickinson and Edna St. Vincent Millay, published by translator Ans Bouter and Benjamin Groothuyse (design: Team Thursday, production: Tielen, Hexspoor).

An amazing performance of which the graphic companies can be really proud. And it is perfect PR for quality print products from the Netherlands.
