Frederic Filloux: Why LinkedIn Editorial is no threat to traditional media

LinkedIn EditorialLinkedIn invested a lot in creating their own content. They hired professionals with editorial experience such as Dan Roth from Wired and Caroline Fairchild from Fortune. They were hired to make sure that LinkedIn Editorial would become an extra reason for their members to spend time on the platform. This has not been a success. On his blog Frederic Filloux explains why not and why traditional media have nothing to fear from new media, as long as these do not understand the simple fact that readers expect quality not quantity.
