Live tracking of parcels with new technology

British start-up Hanhaa started the beta test phase of its ParceLive system for real-time tracking and monitoring of parcels. The company announced this earlier this week. Apparently some bigger companies such as Sigma Retail Solutions and Arvato Berelsmann are trying out ParceLive.

The idea behind ParceLive is simple: the three parties involved (sender, carrier and recipient) all benefit from knowing where the parcel is at any time and in what condition it is in. However, practice is a bit less smooth. Hanhaa claims to have found the solution with Internet-of-things technology (sensors which are in constant communication with a cloud platform).
