Paper Pulse: programming interactive paper
Printed electronics have been possible for some time now thanks to conductive inks and special printing technology. But now there is a DYI solution to make regular paper interactive. A fun way to make interactive cards, labels, games or business cards with moving images. You need only a few electronic components such as LEDs and micro controllers, regular paper, a simple printer and Paper Pulse, software with which 20 interactive components can be programmed by simple dragging and dropping. There will be bit of DYI, but in principle anyone can program interactive paper. Watch this video to see how. The software has been developed by a research team of the University of Hasselt (Belgium) who have applied for a patent for this concept and want to bring it to market. Source: drupa.com
