Taking printing to industrial level: AFIP conference on 2-3 March in Düsseldorf

“Printing as an integral part of the production process” will be the main theme of technical presentations during the third Advanced Functional and Industrial Printing (AFIP) conference, organised by ESMA on 2-3 March 2016 in Radisson Blu Scandinavia hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. The conference welcomes printers, engineers, OEMs and material suppliers keen to learn about the latest advancements in printed and bioelectronics, conductive inks, in-mould decoration, the future of speciality screen and digital printing applications.
The event will include the keynote speech by Smithers Pira’s Sean Smyth on “Adoption of Digital Printing in Functional Decoration”. This will capitalise on Smithers Pira’s research used to produce their latest report “The Future of Functional and Industrial Print to 2020”. Another keynote speech will emphasise the real-world examples of industrial print applications. Wim Christiaens from Quad Industries will deliver insights on the future of printed electronics based on the company’s recent and successful business cases, among others from the healthcare area.
