Where is the world´s free Wi-Fi and why is this important?

The World Economic Forum is of the opinion that free internet access is a way of improving the way of life of the world´s citizens. Free and fast Wi-Fi plays an important role. www.weforum.org shows where this is available. Remarkably the Baltic states, which are also growing economically speaking, are at the top of the list. The Netherlands are somewhere half way. The USA, as in many things, is divided. In some (rich and generally white) parts free Wi-Fi is perfect, in other parts it resembles a developing country.
